What is Structural Steel detailing?
Architectural detailing is the drafting of items such as balconies, balustrade and staircases. The aim is to produce a set of fabrication drawings a fabricator can work with. Structural Engineers produce drawings stating the sizes and forces. Architects produce drawings showing the layout and design intent.
We use the information from the structural engineers drawings in conjunction with the architects drawings to produce:
- General Assembly Drawings showing the detailed design
- Assembly drawings showing how each section is welded
- Single Part drawings showing how to cut and drill each plate, section etc.
Further we include in every fabrication pack:
- Material & bolt lists
- NC files (which are used by the stockholder to pre-cut and punch the structural steel sections)
- DXF files (for laser cutting all the plates)
Why consider us
- We have proven quality processes which are certified under ISO 9001.
- An experienced team of detailers and checkers, not a one man show
- We do this all the time – over 700 projects completed to date
- Diverse policies and standards implement as well as liability insurances in place
- Great reviews by our clients as well as our employees which makes a great company.
How much do architectural steel drawings cost?
To produce a set of fabrication drawings for architectural steelwork we usually offer fixed price quotations if a current design is available.
