SolidWorks creates an automatic ‘cut list’ for all weldment profiles with fabrication information. A cut list table can then be inserted into drawings. However, sometimes it fails to provide you with an option to edit the cut list item information.

To correct this, there is an option to manually ‘update’ the cut list. Simply right-click on ‘cut list’ and click ‘update’ for the item to be designated a cut list group and item number as shown below. You can now right-click on the cut-list-item(X) group and edit the properties to enter fabrication information such as length and angle.
